It is exciting to be a part of this new gallery experience. In the fall of

2001 my wife and I decided to move up to northern Minnesota, where at present we reside on a small Hobby Farm with our two children. It has been an interesting process of renovating an old farmhouse badly in need of some TLC and undoing years of neglect both to the land and home. The farm is definitely a work in progress, always changing and morphing into something better every year. My artwork is very similar in attitude, conceiving an idea, processing, designing and executing it. The paths always unknown and the turns exciting, the results a physical object fully realized reflecting the journey taken.

Although I do dabble in all mediums I like to use my photographs as a beginning point of reference. My experience and background is primarily in printmaking. It's only recently that I have allowed myself the freedom of having my photos as an end result and exist as digital prints, which to me seems like a natural extension of printmaking. I'm a printer without access to a press and someday will return to the wonderful world of printmaking, but until then I'm quite content with my computer and digital imaging. My artwork is greatly influenced by the everyday and I love the manipulation of time, space and the real, leaving the viewer with some ambiguity and letting them fill in the blanks with their own everyday experience.
